Will it make Christmas Eve?

Enter the postal code the basket is going to. The answer gives the day an order placed right now would leave and the days it should reach the door. If that window runs past Thursday, December 24, the order-by list below shows what to do instead.

When to order for Christmas 2026

Every basket goes by Canada Post, with the service chosen at checkout, and the courier needs 1 to 3 business days, Monday to Friday. A weekday order placed by 2 p.m. ships the same day; a later or weekend order goes out on the next business day. Same-day delivery is not offered. With Christmas on a Friday, Thursday, December 24 is the final delivery day before the holiday.

Friday, December 18Ordered by 2 p.m., it leaves that afternoon and reaches the door between Monday, December 21 and Wednesday, December 23. The safest choice.

Weekend of December 19Placed on Saturday, December 19 or Sunday, December 20, it leaves on Monday, December 21 and lands between Tuesday, December 22 and Thursday, December 24. A Friday order sent in after 2 p.m. follows the same path.

Monday, December 21The last order with the whole courier window before Christmas: in by 2 p.m., delivered between Tuesday, December 22 and Thursday, December 24.

Tuesday, December 22Ordered by 2 p.m., it lands between Wednesday, December 23 and Monday, December 28, so it may miss Christmas.

Wednesday, December 23Ordered by 2 p.m., it lands between Thursday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 29.

Wine is the usual choice

When nobody can sign

Bubbly, liquor or beer

Sparkling wine was in 5% of Christmas orders, liquor in 4% and beer in 3%. Each has a Christmas range: with champagne, with liquor and with beer.

Ordering on a weekend

9% of Christmas orders were placed on a Saturday or Sunday. Those leave on Monday, so Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20 make the last weekend that still lands by Christmas Eve.

Clients and staff

Companies placed 49% of Hamilton Baskets' Christmas orders, against 29% across all orders 2023–2025. They plan early: 70% of business Christmas orders were in more than two weeks before December 25, and 22% came in the final week, next to 35% of personal gifts.

What is the latest I can order for Christmas?

Monday, December 21, by 2 p.m. That order ships the same day, and its delivery window closes on Thursday, December 24. Ordering on Friday, December 18 leaves a day or more to spare.

Is anything delivered at weekends or on the holidays?

No. The courier works Monday to Friday, and Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day are closed. A basket ordered by 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 24 lands between Monday, December 28 and Wednesday, December 30.

Who can accept a basket with alcohol?

Someone 19+ who shows photo ID has to sign for it. If no one that age will be in, the Festive Hollyberry and Chocolate Christmas Gift Basket is one of several baskets without alcohol.
